Get the Big Idea

Posted on February 12, 2010

We know when to keep a good thing rolling.

After years of successful “I’ve Got an Idea!” sessions, ACCA is once again hosting the fast-paced, idea-generating brainstorming event at its 42nd Annual Conference in Tampa. The event’s host is Bobby Ring of Meyer & Depew Co., who is uniquely qualified to keep the good ideas flowing. The event is sponsored by Jackson Systems for a third year in a row.

The popular "I've Got an Idea" session is an interactive event where attendees get to share their best (or worst!) ideas while hearing everyone else's as well. Ring not only serves as the moderator, but he also walks around with a pocket full of cash—doling it out for the best ideas.

Attendees consistently report that they leave the session with a ton of great ideas they can put to work in their businesses right away. “Part of what ACCA always brings to the table in its events is that contractor-to-contractor networking that fosters lots of idea generation and tip swapping,” says Ring. “The ‘I’ve Got an Idea!’ session is fun and exciting, but the bottom line is that it’s also incredibly valuable for attendees. It’s a unique opportunity to hear what other contractors are doing well, and take those peer ideas back to your own business.”

“We know that good things happen when you put a bunch of contractors in the room to share ideas,” says Thomas W. Jackson, CEO of Jackson Systems, sponsoring the event again for a third year. “We actively support contractors’ continued growth, and the ‘I’ve Got an Idea!’ event allows attendees to walk in with an empty notebook and walk out with numerous solutions to challenges they may face in their own businesses.”

This year in Tampa, the session will be Tuesday, March 9, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mark your schedules now and come armed with your best ideas to share—and a pen to jot down those that others share.
