Keynotes & Special Events

Nice Bike!

After each year’s opening session, we’re asked, “How can you possibly top that?”

Somehow, we always do … and in 2013, you won’t want to miss the opening session with Mark Scharenbroich, one of the best speakers we’ve ever seen. Mark’s message will make you laugh, and change your life. What’s that got to do with your contracting business? Everything.

Mark’s unconventional approach combines knockout humor and personal stories to help business owners focus on the relationship side of creating results … connecting people to people, management to front line, team member to team member, company to customer. He’s the author of Nice Bike: Making Meaningful Connections On the Road of Life.

Mark Victor Hansen, creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul, says Mark is “a wow of wows … magical, mesmerizing, motivating … brilliant.” We can’t wait to introduce you to Mark and you will be glad we did.

I’ve Got an Idea!

It’s what many ACCA participants look forward to all year — the unmatched “I’ve Got an Idea!” session where you are the star.

This year, “I’ve Got an Idea!” heads to the main stage, but don’t worry — it’s still all about you. Host Vince DiFilippo and his camera crew will be working through the audience, ready to put you and your great idea up on “the big screen.”

Make sure you bring a notebook. You will leave with at least 15-20 new ideas ready to be evaluated and tested in your own business. Best of all? They’ve already been tried by other contractors, so you know these are ideas that work in “the real world.”

Service Leadership Day

Stick around through March 2 for a very special half-day experience with Dennis Snow. He’s the guy who created the consulting division at the Disney Institute, and he’s spent years helping some of the most successful companies in the world become some of the most successful companies in the world.

Snow will show you how to “Create a World Class Service Organization” in your contracting business. There’s no additional fee, but space is limited, so make sure you sign up when registering for the conference.

Download and print handouts.

ACCA Golf Classic

Proceeds benefit the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation

Come a day early and join us on February 26 for a special golf tournament. Plan on a fun, challenging day of networking and recreation with the best contractors in the country, at one of the best golf courses in the country, Hawk’s Landing — located right at our host hotel, the Marriott World Center!

This 18-Hole Championship Golf Course was designed by noted golf architect Robert Cupp Jr., to create the perfect setting for challenging golf and a scenic blend of native Florida wildlife and tropical vegetation.

Additional fees apply (proceeds benefit the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation). Make sure you sign up for the golf classic when registering online.

CEO/ Contractor Forum

ACCA’s CEO/ Contractor Forum is the only venue in the industry where top manufacturer executives address contractors directly.

The CEOs will answer contractor questions and discuss pressing industry issues in a provocative exchange.

It all happens on March 1 at 10:00am. Don’t miss it!

Contractor Town Hall

At the Town Hall, contractors from all over the country get together to talk about serious issues affecting the industry — and they help set ACCA’s agenda to take on those challenges head-on.

The Town Hall Meeting is open to ACCA contractor members only, who have registered for the conference, and it happens at 8:30am on February 28 at the Marriott World Center.

Chairman’s Banquet

The Chairman’s Banquet is a celebration of the entire industry. It’s where HVACR leaders celebrate their successes and, more importantly, lay out their agenda for the future.

The Banquet is made possible by the support of ACCA’s Corporate Partners. Space is limited; when registering for the conference, make sure you check the right box to indicate whether or not you will attend at 7:00pm on February 28.

The MIXer

ACCA’s MIX Group program is one of the most powerful tools in a contractor’s arsenal. At the MIXer, you’ll get the chance to mingle with existing MIX Group leaders in a fun social setting.

The MIXer is where you will find MIX Groups seeking new members. Or form a new one with your fellow contractors — in past years, new MIX Groups have formed themselves right on the spot! It all happens at 4:00pm on February 28 but you can only attend if you register for the ACCA Conference.

Ultimate Party Block

On March 1, choose your party during the Ultimate Party Block — either way you’re guaranteed a great time!

Kick off our 2014 event a whole year early and celebrate Nashville-style during the Grand Ole Party. Enjoy lots of great music, down home food, and conversation with your fellow contractors.

Or, if you prefer Green Day over Lee Greenwood, hit Club XYZ, created especially for our Generation X and Generation Y attendees. Rock the evening in a fun club atmosphere with cocktails, munchies, and new friends.
